Furnace Family, a local HVAC company known for their high-quality, family-focused heating and air conditioning services, was recently acquired by Rümi. Rümi Home Services by ATCO is a large organization in Alberta that outsources a huge range of home services throughout the province. 

Edmonton and Calgary customers valued Furnace Family’s friendly service and the trusting relationships they built with the company’s tight-knit team. Unfortunately, for clients who appreciate personalized, customer-first service, this level of care and attention, in our opinion, is bound to be lost to corporate culture in the Furnace Family takeover.

As with most large corporations controlled by boards and shareholders, profit comes first. Thus, as the executives at ATCO strive to provide shareholder returns, the quality service that Furnace Family once offered may be impacted. Client calls will likely now be directed to a large, impersonal service centre. Worse, the customer service representative answering the call will likely have no knowledge of the industry they’re serving.
